A Case of Prune Belly Syndrome

Abstract

The prune belly syndrome is a symptom complex that consists of congenital absence of deficiency of abdominal wall musculature, cryptorchidism and anomalies of the urogenital tract. But it has a wide spectrum of clinical presentation and combine
with
other anomalies such as pulmonary, skeletal, digestive, cardiovascular and other system.
The incidence of the prune belly syndrome has been estimated to be 1 in 40,000 live births. We experienced a case of prune-belly syndrome and present a brief review of the related literature.
